Park
At Prospect
Park you can walk along, pass and through its lawns, meadows, streams
and ponds although not necessarily in that order. Prospect Park's
woodland area is especially beautiful and the Boathouse and Audubon
Center is well worth a visit. Prospect Park also boasts a Memorial
Arch for the fallen of the Civil War. How lucky we are to alive
in times like these.

an award from the America the Beautiful Fund and the Albert Bard
Award in Architecture & Urban Design and Doris Freedman Award
for greatly enriching the public environment.

The Studio
Museum is dedicated to African American art. The collection features
nineteenth and twentieth-century African-American art, twentieth
century Caribbean and African art, and traditional African art and

Technology Lab a wonderful place for robots, hi-def movies on huge
HD displays, making music and wait for it - Playstation games.

If you wish
you can enjoy a free tour at around 12.15pm on Sundays. The tour
includes a brief history of the church and visits to various points
of interest. The organ console is usually included. The tour lasts
about an hour.
If you very
keen and have four friends you should enquire about the weekly tours
for which there is a nominal fee.

Riverside Park
is four-mile long and runs between the Hudson River and Riverside
Drive. The Park is a good spot for a bike ride as the Manhattan
Waterfront Greenway runs through it.

House Museum
As well the
historic interest the The Van Cortlandt House Museum contains some
fascinating decorative art such as the family's Dutch heritage being
reflected in the faces of the keystone gargoyles placed above each
window on the facade (front) elevation of the House.
The museum
is open on Tuesday - Friday, 10am - 3pm and Saturday & Sunday,
11am - 4pm. Van Cortlandt House Museum is closed every Monday and
major holidays.

The Whitney
Museum exhibits stuff back to 1900. The fifth floor is 1949 young.
You can get into 1960s on second floor. The other floors are devoted
